Boxing Day sale haul!! Boots, Yankee Candle, River Island.

Happy New Year!! Wow, It's been a while since I've posted on here, I will be putting up a lot more this year.Anyway, decided to go Boxing day shopping and got a few goodies. Did some online shopping too so I will maybe do another haul, especially as I got some online Lush purchases!!

First place I went was River Island, I was desperate for a new handbag and purse. Sadly there were no purses on sale that I wanted, and no clothes I was really that interested in. However I ended up buying 2 bags as I couldn't resist, plus had a £28 voucher so these bags cost me £12!! I had been eyeing up the black one all year but didn't want to pay £37, then I saw the beige version and they were £20 each, such a bargain.

As you can see both are quite similar. Both are quite large bags and have a small handle although inside you can connect a large long handle if you want it over your shoulder. Black one is a fake crocodile print and the brown is plain with black details. I'm so in love with them!!

Next stop was Boots. I got here quite late as was looking around the other clothes shops, however did manage to get a few nice things. They had lots of non Christmas Yankee candles on sale which made me very happy and there were loads of gift sets left.

Here are all my candles I bought. So firstly I got this pretty Christmas tree glittery candle for half price at £4 and I will save this for next year. Then I picked up 2 Yankee candle Black coconut small jars, as I have never tried it before and it smells really nice , although I will keep one as a gift. Then I picked up a pack of tea lights as I am so into them right now. Then finally a White gardenia Yankee Candle small jar, which is a beautiful strong white floral scent. The small jars were  originally £8.39 so were half price at £4.20, tea lights were originally £6.99 so I got them for £3.50. Don't you love when you get half price non Christmas candles?!
Here are some random bits I picked up at boots. Starting with some lovely teal and gold bows and curling ribbon from £2 to a £1. A beautiful Sanctuary body gift set with a shower loofah, gentle body polish scrub, silky smooth body lotion and bursting body wash. It was £8.00 down to £4.00. I only bought it as I really liked the cute vintage bag it was in!! The bath products my mum wants :) I also got 2 soap and glory baubles with the ' Great kisser ' peach flavour lip balms. I will probably save these for next Christmas gifts as they were only £2.50 from £5.00.. too cute to miss. Does anyone else do that?!

Last but not least from Boots I got a lovely Perfume gift set which was I think a 1/3 off making it just over £33. ( Sorry the machine I went to wasn't giving out receipts!! ) It is Gucci Premiere gift set, including a 50ml Eau De Parfum plus a 100ml lotion. Thought this was a good price for a good brand and I bought it without smelling it. Thankfully it smells really nice like an elegant blend of florals, perfect for the day.
Next was Yankee Candle. There wasn't a huge sale on at Yankee Candle, lots of things were 25% off but they only had 3 scents of large jars at £12 instead of £19.99. They were Cinnamon Stick, Cranberry Ice and Christmas Eve. I went for Christmas Eve as I only have a small jar and I LOVE IT. I also got 2 Snow in love tarts for 94p rather than £1.49 as I thought they were appropriate for Valentine's Day.

I also noticed they had the new spring Yankee scents!! I went for Aloe Vera which is a soft, fresh slightly watermelon smelling tart, plus Red Raspberry which basically smells of sweet raspberries. They had more but these were the ones that stood out. In me and my sisters bag the lovely lady threw in 3 Candy Cane Lane tarts and 1 Cranberry Ice tart for free as it was Christmas!! Clinton's had 50% off Christmas Candles but I have SO many I was only on the look out for Sugared Apple which they didn't have. :(

This is the last of the haul, these are all the random little bits from different shops thrown together. Debenhams, Sainsburys, Monsoon & Tkmaxx.

Tkmaxx didn't really have a lot in the sale, I did however find this Aromatherapy Associates mini bath and shower oil kit. It was £16 reduced from £33. I noticed that 4 of the oils were empty or half empty which I was really disappointed with especially as it came shrink wrapped. So it ended up going back as it isn't worth £16 for 5 full oils.

How cute are these?! I had been looking at these in Monsoon for ages and finally grabbed them when they were half price. I got two key rings, an Owl and a Hedgehog both at £4 reduced from £8. I will probably give the hedgehog as a gift but I have to keep the owl for myself!! Then I got a little robin decoration for £2.50 rather than £5. These are all really good quality and sturdy and make a fabulous gift.

Last but not least is the final 2 candles. The first is Christmas Spice which was half price at Sainsbury's for £1.75, which will probably be a gift for next Christmas as it smells amazing like sweet cinnamon. Then in Debenhams I picked up some Yankee Candle Snowflake cookie tea lights as I wanted a large jar but these were only 30% and tarts, votives and tea lights were 50% off. I love tea lights and these smell like sweet sugar cookies, you really can't go wrong.

Thanks for reading!! Please let me know what bargains you found in the Boxing Day sales and if you liked anything I purchased.

HAUL: Home stuff!! Bargains!! ( Tesco, Cath Kidston, Matalan, Yankee Candle, BHS, Debenhams etc. )

Hi everyone!!
I haven't posted for a while as I have just started a new job plus a new flat is on the way!! Although it's a while 'til I move in I have still been shopping about for a few bits & bobs I need and I thought you may want to see.

Candles, of course!! Treated myself to a large jar of Bahama Breeze my all time favourite Yankee, scent throw is awesome I LOVE IT!! Got this one from Debenhams for £19.99. Also bought 2 simply home's one in Cherry Vanilla the other in Morning Blossom. Both smell amazing however the scent when burning of Cherry Vanilla isn't too strong!! These were from a local D.I.Y store randomly for £1.30 each.

The stuff from Tesco was bargain of the century!! I got these 2 cute spotty plates for 62p each!! Perfect for a little snack, also got the matching coasters for 55p for a pack ( wish I'd gotten more ): ) Plus red and black coasters for a £1 a pack.

Plus these cute owl tea light holders were 75p each!! Can't resist a cute owl :) I got these a while ago so doubt you'll find them again sadly.

This super cute door mat was from Matalan. I love the pretty roses on it, plus was only £5!!

Another Matalan purchase was this cute starfish bowl, I'm going to use it to store the soap I'm currently using in my bathroom, but it would also be perfect for nick nacks or pot pourri :) This one was only £4.

These colourful tumbler cups were £2.50 each from BHS. I'm not a fan of drinking out of glasses for some reason so these are perfect :) Plus much harder to break than glass!!
These lovely strawberry cereal bowls were £4.50 each from Cath Kidston from £6. I love these, I need the matching mugs!!
Last thing is this cute owl wind chime from Poundland. I don't have a garden in my new flat so not sure where to put it but too adorable too resist.

I have lots of other home stuff which is exciting if any of you would like to see a part 2 feel free to comment.

REVIEW: Chanel Les Ombres Quadra eye shadow palette.

Hello everyone.
I seem to be having a huge love for Chanel beauty products at the moment! I went in to the gorgeous Covent Garden pop up beauty store ( which was beautiful! ) and picked up this beauty.

Inside the box the palette comes in a gorgeous velvet pouch to protect it.

I decided out of all the palettes to go to this one as most of the shades are semi matte and very wearable. From the top left there is a gorgeous shade of chocolate brown, it has very fine shimmer to it making it a gorgeous colour for all over the lid. Next to it we have a pinky toned off white colour, perfect for brightening the inner corner of the eye. On the next left we have a golden champagne colour, this is another great one for a lid colour. Then lastly we have the charcoal black colour, perfect for in the crease or blended on the edge of the eye. All the last 3 colours are semi matte. Also in the palette you get a large mirror at the top & two sponge tip applicators ( which we all know are quite rubbish! ).

These are light swatches of all the shadows without a primer, and as you can see the colours are pretty well pigmented even with a quick swipe! ( Sorry for my dirty looking hand! I had terribly worn off fake tan! ) These shadows last all day on my eyes even without a primer, although I do get a bit of creasing but that is usually due to my eye shape. )

I'd say if you are interested in this palette, go for it! It is incredibly beautiful and worth the hefty price if you are looking for high end eye shadows ( Palette is £38 ). The only thing I'd say is that the colours are probably very easy to dupe with mac shadows or even drug store ones. I'd say it is worth the money, if that is what you're looking for and I only use it on special occasions!

Thanks for reading! :)

REVIEW: Lush Snow Fairy Perfume!

Lush have released the 'Lush Scents' they were released at the end of November and they are limited edition. The fragrances released were: Snow Fairy, Calacas, Snowcake, Ponche & Rose Jam. You can still buy most of these on the Lush UK website ( Not sure about other countries, Sorry! ) However Snow Fairy has sold out, but you can still buy on somewhere like Ebay.

Scent: The scent is EXACTLY the same as the shower gel but stronger, at first when you smell from the bottle it can be a bit overpowering but once it has worn it smells just as amazing. It smells of pear drops, candy & everything super sweet.

Longevity: The scent lasts very well, pretty much all day, although it does wear off like any perfume. I sprayed this on my wrists and could still smell it on my coat days later. Also if you layer up with the shower gel and the snow fairy sparkle you will certainly smell all night like sweets!

Bottle: It comes in the brown box pictured at the top, then when opened you discover the clear glass bottle. To be honest I thought Lush could of been more creative with the bottle like the shower gel, but it is sturdy and does look quite modern on a dressing table.

Price: This one was around £25 with £3 shipping for 30ml, so pretty cheap for a gorgeous long lasting perfume. ( I know my Dior perfume was double that price for 30ml! )

In conclusion, I'd say if you are a huge Lushie like me, I'd recommend checking out Snow Fairy if you are able to get your hands on it. Also if you are a fan of super sweet girly perfumes this is one to try! The prices range from £23-£30. I feel like the Calacas perfume is calling my name, so maybe time to buy that one. ;)

Thanks for reading x.

REVIEW: Chanel illusion d'ombre eye shadows.

Hi everyone.
Today I am going to review these gorgeous Chanel cream eye shadows. I have 3 colours; 82 Èmerveillé ( Wonder struck ), 83 Illusoire ( Illusion), 89 Vision.

Firstly I would like to say how amazing these eye shadows are. They come in a small box with a little lip style brush provided, I prefer to use my fingers to apply to my eye lid but the brush is still of good quality and works well. They all have a beautiful creamy texture with excellent colour pay off even without a primer. They all contain a lot of glitter and shimmer so if you prefer a matte eye shadow I probably would give these a miss! Èmerveillé & Illsuoire are very opaque for shimmery cream eye shadows, Vision is not as quite but I will expand on that later. Èmerveillé  is a little less pigmented than the other two but I feel this is because I bought this one first and it has dried up a bit, so needs a few layers to make it very pigmented. They do crease slightly over a few hours but if you set them with the same colour eye shadow they hardly crease at all.
From top; Illusoire, Èmerveillé  & Vision. ( Without primer).

82 Èmerveillé: This one is my favourite of them all! I wear this most days, but you could also use it on a night out! It is a light cool toned champagne colour with flecks of gold shimmer. The shimmer is very fine and not chunky. Looks much better in real life! I'd check this out if you love shimmery but natural eye shadow. I like to set this one with Mac's All that glitters.
82 Illusoire: This one is an unusual colour, I'd describe it as a plumy, grey colour. It has flecks of plum and silver shimmer. Again the shimmer is very fine and very beautiful. This one looks amazing on a smokey eye, or as a base. I usually use it as a base then use a black on the crease or set it with Urban Decay's zero.

89 Vision: This one is slightly different from the other two, it is more of a glitter than a shimmer so it is not as opaque as they are. It is a true yellow gold and would look gorgeous on any eye colour. I'd recommend applying this one with a brush as it is very glittery and will get everywhere! ( It's in my brows in the picture! ) I use it all over the lid with Urban Decay's half baked over the top!

If you are looking for a beautiful, high quality & high end cream eye shadow I would recommend these! The only bad point is that you need to close the lid tight or they may dry out, like my Èmerveillé, they can still be used when dryer just need a bit more work. Also they are a bit on the pricey side at £24 each. I purchase mine from Debenhams but they can be bought from some Boots stores, Chanel stores & some department stores. If you want to make your eyes pop, especially for the festive season or I think they'd make a lovely gift.
I purchased these with my own money and these are my own opinions.
Thanks for reading! :)

HAUL: Lush Christmas & Halloween products 2013!

Hi there.
This evening I went to my local Lush VIP Evening where the Christmas products are out and there for you to purchase! I only got 2 Halloween products as they didn't have the soot bath bomb in my Lush ): ( Do more Halloween products Lush! )There was quite a lot of stuff, but due to lack of money I couldn't get everything I wanted! I didn't get any of my favourites; Angel's delight soap or Snow fairy as I still have a few things left from last year! But I'm sure to go back!

NEW Snow Fairy Sparkle massage bar- Which of course smells of the loved snow fairy shower gel. It's much softer smell then the shower gel, not so in your face and to me smells slightly like cakes? In such a cute design as well,it is much more mushy and soft then other massage bars. After the pink layer is worn off a silver sparkly layer appears. This makes you smell amazing but it makes you look super sparkly as well, perfect for the festive season.

Cinders Bath Ballistic- I love every single year! Smells of gorgeous sweet cinnamon, reminds me so much of Christmas! Also contains cute little pop rocks on the top which fizzle in your bath! Only thing is it turns the water a horrible yellow colour, but the smell lasts the whole time of your soak.

Melting Snowman Bath Melt- He is so super cute, I buy him every year. I'd say he was the most Christmassy smell of all the Lush Christmas products. Smells purely of cinnamon, patchouli & clove. He makes such a lovely bath, turns the water creamy and makes your skin super soft and smooth.

Christmas Eve Bubble Bar- Another classic Lush Christmas product. Smells strongly of Jasmine and ylang ylang essential oils. I always break it into two, as half seems to make enough bubbles! Smell really lingers in your bathroom as well! Great one for before bed time, super relaxing, defiantly use this Christmas Eve!

Candy Mountain Bubble Bar- Candy mountain has been re invented this year again! Last year it was green and pink this year it's pink & white with a whole load of sparkles! It smells the same though, like Creamy candy bubble bar. Sweet, vanillary, cute & candy smelling. You can't really go wrong! Also produces a LOT of bubbles, so break in half!
NEW The Christmas Penguin- OMG can't get over how cute this is! Bought 3 just because they are so cute it's gonna sell out quick! He smells very fruity I can smell a touch of lemon & orange. Also with a tang of spice in there too. Can't wait to pop him into my bath!

NEW Snowman Bath Ballistic- Another cute new one for this year! His smell reminds me of Snow cake soap, he is supposed to smell of butterball too. Very fresh but sweet smell, he is also apparently full of cocoa butter so good for dry skin!
NEW Pumpkin Bubble Bar- A Halloween take on the Mother's day Mumkin. He smells sweet and fruity. Defiantly not just one for Halloween, you could use him all year round!
NEW Lord Of Misrule Bath Ballistic- This one is HUGE! Similar size to Dragon's Egg. I love the pastel green colour with specks of white, yellow and pink. Very sweet and vanillary with a hint of autumn spice with a cool burgundy middle when fizzed.

Thanks for reading! If you want me to review any of these products let me know, I will also review any Lush Christmas products you would like me to! ( I don't tend to buy many soaps or shower gels because of my super dry skin, however I may have to get some of the Christmas ones! ) I love this time of year so much, I've already started using my Christmas Lush products!

Thanks again. x

Mini Yankee Candle Haul! ( With Halloween stuff! )

Hey!
Today I am going to show what I ordered from yankeecandle.co.uk. They are doing lots of good offers at the moment like 30% off certain candles and 4 votives for £5! Also If you spend over £25 you get free standard delivery! Most of the things I ordered were early Christmas gifts but the Halloween stuff is mine!

Halloween:
I normally just buy the tarts because they are cheap, great for trying out a scent, last for ages, and I can just pop them into my oil burner. I actually love both of these scents so much I might order a cheeky medium glass jar of each! The smell of these is SO strong you can smell it in my room for days after it has been burnt, gorgeous. I'm so in love with Halloween I would probably burn these all year round.

Witches Brew:

Yankee Candle says: The spicy sweet aroma of exotic patchouli casts a captivating spell!

I can defiantly smell the patchouli, it is the strongest scent in this. It also smells quite sweet, almost like coca cola but with a herby spicy kick. Perfect for Halloween! It also turns pitch black in your tart burner, spooky!

Candy Corn:

Yankee Candle says: The familiar, sweet scent of candy corn is a fond reminder of Halloween fun and treats.

Again it smells sweet but spicy, but I'd say this is the sweeter one of the two if that is your thing. It smells vanillary with a pinch of warm autumn spice also with a hint of sugary sweetness. Also a beautiful bright pumpkin orange coloured tart!

How cute is the packaging for these as well!

Christmas Cupcake:
This was the one Christmas candle I ordered! It is actually a present for my sister (Shh!) I think it was one of the ones on 30% off so was only about a fiver! Bargain much.
Super cute picture on the front! That's probably the main reason I picked it, and who doesn't love the smell of cupcakes?!

Yankee Candle Says: An irresistible treat … rich, moist vanilla cupcake covered with sweet buttery holiday icing.

I love how Yankee described this! I agree it has a very strong vanilla scent similar to Vanilla Cupcake but more of a hint of festiveness to it! I think it could be burnt all year round though.

Pineapple Cilantro:
This was one of this years summer scents, my Mum loves fruity scents so these next two candles are presents for her! Again I love the pictures they put on these!

Yankee Candle says: A tropical treat . . . fresh, island pineapple served with a citrus touch of cilantro and sweet coconut.

It smells SO good, like a cocktail on a sunny beach! Very strong scent of coconut and pineapple, it is very sweet and very very fruity! Also smells strong so I could imagine it to be one of those scents which makes your whole house smell fantastic!

Wild Passion Fruit:
Last but not least we have this lovely fruity candle. I think it was from last spring/summer? It is also on sale for just over a fiver on the website, I would defiantly recommend this one!

Yankee Candle Says: Bright and vivacious . . . this exotic passion fruit is blended with melon and mandarin.

To me it smells like a fruit cocktail on a summer's day. You can smell the mandarin strongly as well as the passion fruit. Very very sweet, smells like a dream!

There will be more yankee candle hauls for sure very soon! I am such a huge fan! Thanks for reading. x
